If not Villa, maybe a winger like Silva would be interesting.

I like the sound of that! Villa and torres upfront! brilliant! I think we also need a new left back, I heard Dossena was close to joining, but then it all died away confused does anyone know what happened about it?

"On June 3rd, Dossena's agent announced that the transfer was all but completed, with Liverpool beating off competition from Italian giants Juventus and Fiorentina. On Wednesday June 4, 2008, the Italian underwent a medical at Melwood and now awaits the deal to formally go through. The fee is believed to be in the region of 7 million pounds." - Wikipedia.

I think David Silva said he wants to stay at Valencia, or if he is going to move he would go to Barcelona, that's what he said. Official Liverpool FC Thread 689407

No chance! If we play like we did against Villa they'll beat us 4 or 5. Watching that game was torture, it wasn't even that we didn't have any width but when we got the ball we just hoofed it up the pitch. I've seen conference sides play more attractive football. Anyway, maybe Riera will liven things up a bit. And also we'll need Gerrard and Torres back or we've no chance.

If Torres isn't back who's going to score for us, we'll be relying on an own goal. Torres is the only player in the team that can consistently score goals, obviously Gerrard scores quite a bit but we can't be relying on a midfielder as our main goal scorer. Rafa either needs to use Keane properly instead of on the wing or play Kuyt up top.

2-1 to the Kop, brilliant result, good to see we won without Torres, although I still think we need to see if we can do it wthout Gerrard as well, that will show we can save the big players for the important matches. For now though, this is brilliant. :yippee:

The Liverpool thread is stickied but the others aren't. A bit "teamist" don't you think?

Anyway Stevie G is the only quality player on this team. (I'm going to get some hate for this lol )
