The 2nd test is underway at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) with Australia firmly in control at the end of the 2nd day. Australia have been dominant in this aprticular test producing a great batting display which saw captain Ricky Ponting post a marvellous 101 before being caught at mid-off shortly before tea yesterday. Australia were eventually bowled out for 394. In reply, South Africa have made a horrible start after McKenzie got bowled for a duck, Hashim Amla was caught magnificently at fine Gully by Andrew (roy) Symonds, and Jacques Kallis was caught aswell just before Tea.

The Series has been an enthralling one so far after South Africa ran down the 2nd highest score in the history of test Cricket (414) when Captain Graeme Smith scored a wonderful century in guiding his SA' players to a well deserved win with 6 wickets remaining at the WACA, (Western Australian Cricket Association Cround), (and also the cground I live near :yippee: ). South africa have it all to do now with the 2nd Test fastly running away from them.

South Africa have actually gone on to win the series.. They currently have won 2-0 but with the 3rd test still going theyve won it anyway. Australia are well on top after a stunning lower order batsmen plunge which saw all the bowlers produce atleast 20 runs (with Johnson and Siddle both grabbing 64 and 59 respectively). That left Australia in control with 445 runs from the opening innings and South Africa have been nowhere near good enough in being now 4/176 at Lunch on the 3rd day of this 3rd 3 Mobile test at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
